Onboarding software for managers and lean HR teams
In many growing companies, HR is one person or a founder. Onboarding quality then depends on managers, who have little time and no training in it. Software should do the planning and tell managers only what needs them.

How to evaluate
- Manager time required per hire
- Quality of drafted plans
- Exception visibility
- Who maintains content
Keeping manager effort low
The realistic target is a short review of a drafted plan before the start date, a handful of scheduled checkpoints and responding to the few signals that need a decision. If a tool asks managers to build plans from scratch, maintain content libraries or monitor dashboards, it will be used for the first hire and abandoned by the third. Ask any vendor to estimate manager minutes per hire, and test that estimate with one real hire.
